Vertical-horizontal method
This is a sequence of vertical columns on which horizontal crossbars are mounted, being the supporting part of the structure. Architecturally secure double-glazed windows are fixed with handrails, which are closed from the outside with overlaps of the selected shape: from rectangles to ovals. Low-emissivity, tinted, bullet-proof, self-cleaning double-glazed windows are used for glazing the facades of large areas of public buildings and shopping centers. Vertical facades can merge into pitched roof elements.
Structural and semi-structural
These are arrays of visually solid glass, aluminum shelves of the inside of the glass hidden by eyes of colored or mirrored architectural glass. From the outside, only a small gap is visible between the glass blocks. The difference between structural and semi-structural glazing is that a special sealant is used to fix the double-glazed windows in the first case, and in the second - a horizontal or vertical fixing rod, which is visible from the outside. The heat-saving and strength characteristics of both types of glazing are identical.
