Large steel stiffeners

In order to meet the necessary static requirements, GEALAN has designed the spacer bars of its S 8000 IQ residential door system in such a way that they can support the largest possible stiffening elements. Thanks to this special positioning of the spacer bars at a depth of 74 mm, a steel element with 30% higher bending stiffness can be used. The stiffening elements are pre-milled for quick mounting of the frog. The threshold brackets, already proven in other GEALAN systems, ensure that the S 8000 IQ profile also provides an optimal connection between the entrance door frame and threshold.

A wide range of accessories

To significantly improve torsional stiffness and corner stiffness of the hoop, weld-fastened joint collars are available. The wide range of accessories allows the construction of all common types of doors. Any commercially available hardware and locking systems as well as commercially available panels up to 46 mm can be mounted in the door profile. Doors in the S 8000 IQ system can be manufactured to open inwards or outwards. The door profiles are available as standard in numerous GEALAN-acrylcolor® shades and decorative foils (wood-look).

Stability: large-scale planning

When developing the S 8000 system, special attention was paid to the stability of the profiles. A correspondingly large size was the main chamber for supporting the steel stiffeners.

The result is a very high bending stiffness of the standard reinforcement, which is another advantage in terms of profile stability. Thus, there are no more obstacles to the realisation of large elements and the window company can offer large windows to customers.

The maximum height of the window elements depends on the width of the window and the resulting total window area.
In the case of large windows, the window elements are subject to strong forces.
Stable steel stiffeners ensure high resistance to bending and allow the construction of large windows.

Threshold for entrance doors and balcony doors suitable for people with disabilities

Thanks to its construction height of only 20 mm, the threshold for entrance doors or balcony doors S 8000 is suitable for people with disabilities. The aluminum sill cover provides high sill strength, multiple sealing planes and an integrated corner sealing block with patch-piece for increased sealing capacity.
